Inleiding

A healthy indoor climate is essential for good education. In buildings where many children and staff come together daily, the quality of air, temperature, light and acoustics has a direct influence on learning, concentration, absenteeism and general well-being. Yet the indoor climate in schools still often receives insufficient structural attention. Many educational buildings suffer from outdated installations, insufficient ventilation capacity or a lack of integral quality assurance.

The Programme of Requirements (PoR) Fresh Schools 2025 provides schools, municipalities and their advisers with a clear framework for improving the indoor environmental performance of educational buildings. The PoR describes performance requirements for ventilation, air quality, thermal comfort, energy consumption and acoustics, among other things. It thus not only helps when renovating or building new buildings, but also when formulating ambitions and realising a sustainable and healthy learning climate.

By using this PoA, the parties involved can focus on quality, comply with current insights and regulations, and ensure that the building meets the needs of pupils and staff. The PoA Frisse Scholen 2025 also ties in with broader sustainability goals within social real estate.
