Inleiding
The Air Curtain Logbook is a standardised document intended to record the management and maintenance of air curtains within buildings in a uniform, clear and professional manner. The logbook is an extract from the Ventilation Management and Maintenance Guideline (BKNL-RBO-utiliteit-2020-01), a guideline for air treatment systems developed by Binnenklimaat Nederland in collaboration with the Central Government Real Estate Agency.
Climate control systems, including air curtains, must be carefully managed and maintained to ensure a healthy, comfortable and sustainable indoor climate. The logbook serves as a central location for all relevant documents, such as contact details, basic principles, maintenance reports, work orders, certificates, quality declarations and revision drawings. By recording this information behind structured tabs, both maintenance parties and administrators always have access to the latest and necessary data.
Maintenance must be carried out by a qualified person with knowledge of climate control technology and attention to safety. The logbook contains specific sections for the inspection and maintenance of components such as:
- The air curtain itself
- Air filters
- Heating and cooling elements
- Fans
In addition, the logbook contains principles such as sample size and performance requirements, and provides space for reports, action points and changes.
The purpose of the logbook is to ensure transparency, continuity and quality in the maintenance of air curtains, so that the installation functions correctly and complies with design principles, manufacturer specifications and relevant regulations.
