New: getting an insight and feel for climate technology in a practical way
25 September 2025Climate engineering is becoming increasingly comprehensive. Everything is interrelated in a building but as a non-techie, how do you get a grip and a feel for it?
Do you work at a company that provides air conditioning technology, or parts of it? As a switchboard operator, fault coordinator, planner, in the warehouse, factory or HR? Then a train
Do you work within installation engineering in a non-technical position? As a breakdown coordinator, planner, in the warehouse, at HR or.....? Or at a company doing air distribution or air handling? Or perhaps a property manager.
You may hear cries several times a day that mean little to you but that you are expected to speak to.
How nice and especially useful would it be if those cries did start to mean something to you?
A technical education is not really for you but imagine experiencing these cries in one day, in the middle of the Binnenklimaattechniek trade centre?
From today, you can. ROVC Technical Training, in cooperation with various industry associations, has developed a practical training course aimed precisely at this target group. The first participants have rated the new course with a ten. Some reactions: "A bull's-eye", or "Just what I need for my work".
The next group will start on Friday, November 7. Will you be there?

The following topics are on the programme:
- What actually is air-conditioning in buildings?
- What is the relationship with energy transition?
- What is the importance of electricity within air conditioning technology?
- What do laws and regulations dictate to us about short- and long-term sustainability?
- What do we mean by a healthy indoor climate?
- What is a building management system?
- What forms of heat and cold generation are there? How do these devices work?
- What forms of heat release are there and when do you choose one or the other?
- What is air distribution and why is it so important?
- What is an air handling unit and why are they becoming increasingly important?
- What exactly is heat recovery (WTW) and how does it work?
- What exactly do we mean by measurement and control technology in buildings and what role do valves play in it?
The topics and related concepts are explained and, most importantly, demonstrated in an understandable way. You will also go through many of the topics yourself so that you understand even better.
